independencia, contra un enemigo que nos ha invadido; y las naciones que contemplan ofensas de este tama\u00f1o a un pueblo aguerrido, a qui\u00e9n sus agresores deben tantos beneficios, nos conceder\u00e1n hasta el derecho de la revancha\u201d (Antonio Jos\u00e9 de Sucre)<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">El 27 de febrero de 1829, se libr\u00f3 la Batalla de Portete de Tarqui, donde las tropas gran colombianas, conformadas por cuatro mil soldados; lideradas por Antonio Jos\u00e9 de Sucre\u00a0 vencieron al Ej\u00e9rcito peruano, comprendido por ocho mil soldados al mando de Jos\u00e9 de La Mar.<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Este recordado combate\u00a0 marca un hito importante en la historia del Ej\u00e9rcito Ecuatoriano porque aqu\u00ed se consolida la libertad del pa\u00eds y toma forma nuestro Ej\u00e9rcito como parte del Ej\u00e9rcito de la Gran Colombia.<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Hoy, esta fecha, a m\u00e1s de ser establecida como D\u00eda Cl\u00e1sico del Ej\u00e9rcito ecuatoriano,\u00a0 ha sido motivo para celebrar el D\u00eda del Civismo y de la Unidad Nacional.<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Saludamos calurosamente a nuestro Ej\u00e9rcito Ecuatoriano, al cumplirse Tarqui, donde las tropas gran colombianas, conformadas por cuatro mil soldados; lideradas por Antonio Jos\u00e9 de Sucre  vencieron al Ej\u00e9rcito peruano, comprendido por ocho mil soldados al mando de Jos\u00e9 de La Mar.<\/p>\n<p>Este recordado combate  marca un hito importante en la historia del Ej\u00e9rcito Ecuatoriano porque aqu\u00ed se consolida la libertad del pa\u00eds y toma forma nuestro Ej\u00e9rcito como parte del Ej\u00e9rcito de la Gran Colombia.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy, esta fecha, a m\u00e1s de ser establecida como D\u00eda Cl\u00e1sico del Ej\u00e9rcito ecuatoriano,  ha sido motivo para celebrar el D\u00eda del Civismo y de la Unidad Nacional.<\/p>\n<p>Saludamos calurosamente a nuestro Ej\u00e9rcito Ecuatoriano, al cumplirse una a\u00f1o m\u00e1s  de la  heroica  Batalla de
